Definición Sample survey
In a sample survey, contrary to a full population survey, only a part of a population is questioned on a given topic. From the results of this sample a projection on the population is then made. In order to ensure the representativeness of the results, certain selection methods need to be used, as the goal of the survey remains the analysis of the population as a whole.
If we, for example, ask 10,000 people if they like bananas and then make a projection on the entire population, we have conducted a sample survey.
