Hamburg, May 19, 2015 - Since the onset of the global economic and financial crisis, reliable German products and services are not only in strong demand nationally, but also in a broader international context. The German economy in particular has been experiencing a strong upturn in recent years. The positive trend becomes apparent when looking at the real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate of 7.6 percent for the years 2011 to 2014.
Within the scope of the comprehensive ranking entitled Growth Champions 2016, which was jointly initiated by the online data portal Statista and the news magazine FOCUS, 1,000 German firms with the highest revenue figures from 2011 to 2014 across all industry branches will be selected. Inclusion will result in the achievements of these corporations being recognized and appreciated. Therefore, the companies listed are not only contributing to society by generating and safeguarding new jobs, they also ensure Germany’s sustainable economic growth rate.
German enterprises have the possibility to apply for a position in the ranking during the application phase from 18th May to 30th June 2015. Inclusion in the list also offers companies the chance to gain the attention of corporate-relevant stakeholders, e.g. investors, partners or customers who gain an interest in the company through the clear visualization of its success. Additionally, participation in the ranking enables companies to protect and strengthen their reputations. Furthermore, as a sign of gratitude, Statista offers a three month period of free access to the entire database, irrespective of whether the participants are listed among the top 1,000.
