In 2022, London-based Informa plc generated over 2.89 billion U.S. dollars in revenue, making it the highest-grossing trade fair organizer among the displayed companies. Despite that result, the 2022 figure amounted to only three-quarters of the 3.83-billion-dollar revenue recorded in 2019, before the pandemic. GL events – headquartered in Lyon, France – followed with revenues of over 1.4 billion dollars in 2022. The exhibition operations of RELX plc, also based in London, generated almost 1.12 billion dollars in revenue that year. Among the displayed companies, only GL, Messe Berlin, and Bologna Fiere had 2022 results superior to their respective pre-pandemic figures.
