Britain's reputation among international tourists since the EU referendum 2018
This statistic illustrates the change in international travelers' opinion of Britain since the decision of the EU referendum ('brexit') in 2016, which resulted in the majority of the electorate in the United Kingdom voting to leave the European Union. According to the consumer sentiment survey conducted in March 2018, 20 percent of respondents overall had a slightly more negative view of Britain and six percent a much more negative view. This proportion was higher in Germany and Spain. However overall 46 percent said their view had not changed. Furthermore 13 percent claimed their view had become more positive to some extent.
