Solar thermal capacity in the European Union 2022, by country
Germany has the greatest capacity of solar thermal collectors in the European Union. As of 2022, Germany's solar thermal units had a capacity of 15.7 gigawatts thermal. This was far more than the second-ranked Greece, which had a cumulative capacity of 3.8 gigawatts thermal. Unsurprisingly, Germany also has the largest installed surface area of solar thermal collectors in the EU.
