Russia: natural gas consumption in cubic meters 2022

Russia's natural gas consumption was measured at 408 billion cubic meters in 2022. To compare, in 2000, around 360 billion cubic meters of natural gas were consumed in Russia. The country made up nearly 12 percent of the world's total natural gas consumption in 2021.

The data represent standard cubic meters (measured at 15°C and 1,013mbar where possible). As they are derived directly from measures of energy content using an average conversion factor and have been standardised using a Gross Calorific Value (GCV) of 40 MJ/m3, they do not necessarily equate with gas volumes expressed in specific national terms."
