The majority of oil and gas executives favor investing in low-carbon sources alongside their core business. According to a 2023 survey, 41 percent of executives supported such diversification efforts. By comparison, most oil and gas industry investors favored an investment approach that would see a pivot away from the oil and gas core business toward low-carbon strategies.
