The Election Commission of India made seizures consisting of cash, liquor, drugs, precious metals, and other freebies worth over 17.6 billion Indian rupees post the announcement of five state assembly elections in 2023. Freebie and other items worth over five billion Indian rupees were seized by Election Commission to ensure an inducement free elections.
