Leading mobile game genres on smartphones Japan 2023
In a survey that was conducted in July 2023 among people in Japan who played smartphone games at least once per month, almost half of the respondents played puzzle games. Puzzle games were the most commonly played genre at the time of the survey, followed by location-based games and simulation role-playing games (RPGs).
