Hospital beds in Mexico 2021, by specialization
In 2021, the medical specialization with the highest share of hospital beds in Mexico was obstetrics and gynecology, with over 20 percent of the total. Meanwhile, pediatrics had around 16 percent, and internal medicine over 14 percent of the hospital beds. Together, the three medical specializations concentrated over 50 percent of hospital beds in Mexico that year. The specialization with most medical offices in Mexico that year was general or family medicine.
