Based on the most recent survey among U.S. television viewers, it is becoming more common to sign up for a subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service to watch one specific show. In 2024, the share of U.S. SVOD viewers who subscribed to view specific content amounted to 39 percent, as adding a new service to have access to a specific piece of desirable content becomes the norm.
