Import value of semiconductor equipment in Taiwan 2012-2022
The value of imported semiconductor equipment in Taiwan reached over 36 billion U.S. dollars in 2022. Even though Taiwan was a global leader in semiconductor manufacturing, the region did not make the production equipment. Most semiconductor equipment manufacturing companies were based in the United States, Japan, and the Netherlands.
