15 percent of Metlife's executive group and board of directors were Black or African American as of 2022. However, across all types of position - sales, non-sales, executive and board - a large majority of the company's staff members were white. The board of directors and sales saw the highest percentages of white employees, at 77 percent and 86 percent respectively.
