Main companies in Nigeria 2023, by market capitalization

MTN Nigeria, a South African company based in Lagos and active in many other African countries, was the largest company in Nigeria by market capitalization. In 2022, its outstanding shares had a market value of over 10.6 billion U.S. dollars. Additionally, Dangote Cement, a non-energy material enterprise was the second largest company in Africa by market capitalization. BUA Cement ranked third in Nigeria, with a value of around 7.1 billion U.S. dollars.
