Opinions on tax evasion in Tunisia 2020
As of 2020, nearly 40 percent of the surveyed population in Tunisia believed that people always avoid paying taxes they owed the government. In addition, around 36 percent stated that this often happened. Tax avoidance is widespread in Tunisia, yet the country records significantly higher tax revenue collection rates than the African average.
