Renewables is the most popular energy sector when considering an employment switch within the global energy industry. According to a 2021 survey, 55 percent of employees from the power sector and 52 percent of employees from the oil and gas sector would consider a move to the renewables sector if they were to change careers within the energy industry. By comparison, 47 percent of employees from the renewables sector would consider employment in the power sector.
