Between 2011 and 2018, the maximum temperature registered in Catania was 39.2° C. This was about two degrees greater than the daily maximum registered over the period from 1971 and 1980. A similar increasing trend could be observed in all the cities listed in the ranking. Turin was the city with the largest increase, about 3.3 degrees Celsius.
