Cobalt production volume in Africa 2018, by country
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is by far the leading producer of cobalt in Africa, and is estimated to have produced 104 thousand metric tons of this metal in 2018. Madagascar was the second-largest cobalt producer in Africa that year, with an output estimated at 3.3 thousand metric tons.
