In 2020, the expenditure of households in Italy peaked in Aosta Valley, in the North-West. Compared to the national average (base index=100), the spending of households in this region was by 43 points higher, according to data provided by Prometeia. On the other hand, the expenditure of households in the southern region of Campania stood at almost 30 points under the national average.
