For 2023, LinkedIn produced a revenue of approximately 6.44 billion U.S. dollars from its premium accounts, ranging from 29.99 U.S. dollars per month to 149.99 USD per month, based on the features that users wish to access. Like many traditional social media platforms, LinkedIn also relies on advertising to make money. In 2022, there were 571 million global LinkedIn users and 174 million LinkedIn Premium subscribers. LinkedIn members can conduct job searches, hire new employees, or make useful business connections, so it is no surprise that it is popular amongst people seeking to start their professional careers. As of January 2023, a significant share of LinkedIn’s global users, comprising 60 percent, were aged between 25 and 34 years. Additionally, 56.3 percent of LinkedIn users were men.Although the platform has a global reach, its largest user base by far is in the United States, with 200 million users in the country. Overall, individuals from higher income households and with higher education levels are the most likely demographics to use the service. As of September 2023, 55 percent of LinkedIn users in the United States were from high-income households. Moreover, one third of all U.S. users had a bachelor's degree or equivalent, while one quarter had a master's degree.
