This index has the advantage that it allows investors to trade Latin American securities in euros and thus avoid the complexity of the currency exchange. Latibex, created by Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, has two sub-indices in collaboration with the FTSE (Financial Times Stock Exchange): the FTSE Latibex Top, which groups the 15 most liquid values of Latibex; and the FTSE Latibex Brasil, where the ten most liquid companies on the Brazilian stock exchange are listed.
