This statistic shows the outcome of a survey done on the happiness of refugees in the Netherlands in 2017. When asked whether they were happy in the Netherlands, roughly 80 percent of the refugee respondents indicated that they are happy at the moment and hopeful that they will find a home in the Netherlands.

* Nine out of ten respondents were Syrians, the rest of the respondents came from Iraq. The biggest group of respondents has indicated a university degree or no degree. The majority (93%) is male and eight out of ten are under 40. The results have been weighed on age and gender based on CBS figures of people who applied for a first asylum.
