India's primary school teachers by state and union territory FY 2014
The statistic presents the number of primary school teachers in India in financial year 2014, by state and union territory. The state of Uttar Pradesh had the most number of teachers, followed by the state of West Bengal with close to 300,000 primary school teachers. That year, the union territory of Chandigarh had the least number of primary school teachers.
