Cancer cases rate per 100,000 population in England 2017-20 by gender
This statistic shows the rate of registrations of newly diagnosed cases of cancer, excluding non-melanoma skin cancer per 100,000 population in England from 2017 to 2020, by gender. Cancer is an aggregation of diseases in which cells within a part of the body begin to grow abnormally, often spreading to other parts of the body. In 2020, approximately 590 males per 100,000 population and 488 females per 100,000 population were newly diagnosed with cancer excluding non-melanoma skin cancer.
