BHP produced over 29 million metric tons of metallurgical coal in the financial year ending June 30, 2023. Meanwhile, energy coal production amounted to 14.2 million metric tons. Combined, the company produced some 43.2 million metric tons of coal, a decrease of 11.8 million metric tons from the previous year.
