Japanese pharmaceutical companies top acquisitions as of 2014
This statistic shows the largest acquisitions by Japanese pharmaceutical companies within the last few years, as of June 2014. In 2008, Japanese pharmaceutical company Takeda acquired the U.S. company Millennium for a purchase price of some nine billion U.S. dollars. Compared to the global trend, Japanese pharmaceutical companies were relatively absent from M&A activities in this sector.
