Global container ship TEU capacity 2019-2021
In December 2019, the combined capacity of container ships worldwide came to around 23 million twenty-foot equivalent units. At the beginning of 2020, it was estimated that the cellular fleet would grow by around 3.5 percent to reach 24 million twenty-foot equivalent units by year-end.
