Consumers' awareness of the environmental burden of farming in Japan 2023
The majority of Japanese consumers were not aware that agriculture impacted the environment negatively, as revealed in a survey conducted in October 2023 in Japan. Over 55 percent of respondents stated they did not know of the environmental burden of agriculture. Only 42.3 percent claimed to know of the environmental impact of the industry.
