Opinion on reasons for NHS backlogs in the UK 2023

In 2023, a survey in the United Kingdom* found that almost half of people surveyed felt that backlogs in the National Health Service were due to not enough staff working in the service. Around 40 percent felt that the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellations it caused has been responsible for the current backlog.
