Hong Kong: young people printed book spending 2023

According to a 2023 survey, about 60 percent of young people in Hong Kong spent less than 300 Hong Kong dollars on printed books in the last six months prior the survey period. Almost one third had not purchased any paper books.

The average age of respondents was 17.5 years old. Male respondents accounted for 47.3%. About 65.6% of respondents had a secondary school degree whereas the rest achieved a bachelor degree or above. About 84.1% of respondents were born in Hong Kong.
