Between 2014 and 2021, the share of people who underwent colorectal cancer screening in Italy decreased. The lowest rate was recorded in 2020, with only 34.1 percent of people aged between 50 and 69 years undergoing this type of screening after accepting the invitation for the screening from the Italian NHS.
