As of February 2022, 51 percent of Indonesian respondents who owned cryptocurrencies were female. According to Indonesia's Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti), there were 1.5 million Indonesian cryptocurrency users as of June 2022. Due to the rising interests in digital currencies, the Indonesian government is set to launch crypto bourse to protect Indonesian digital currency users at the end of 2022.
