Food and agriculture FDI in Africa 2017, by region
In the years between 2003 and 2017, Western Africa received over eight billion U.S. dollars of foreign direct investment (FDI), representing the leading destination of foreign investment in food and agriculture on the continent. Eastern and Northern Africa followed with approximately seven billion and five billion U.S. dollars, respectively. In the same period, Nigeria, Egypt, Cameroon, and South Africa attracted the highest values of the FDI.
