When compared to the dentist visits before the outbreak, a lower frequency can be observed, especially among people aged from 20 to 39 years old.
According to a survey conducted in August 2020, around 29 percent of respondents in Japan aged 60 to 69 years old attended dental clinics once in two to three months after the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in February 2020 in the country.
