In a survey conducted in Australia in 2020, regarding businesses that anticipated adverse impacts due to the coronavirus, 52 percent of mining businesses stated that they expected government restrictions to have an adverse impact on their business. In comparison, 17 percent of mining businesses stated that they expected an adverse effect on their business due to a reduced ability to pay operating expenses.
