Poland: value of the benefits paid from the family 500 plus program by voivodship 2022

In 2022, over 42 billion zloty was paid in Poland as benefits for families covered by the 500+ program, an increase of 5.4 percent compared to the previous year. On average, 6.9 million children under 18 years old received support from the Polish government in 2020. The highest benefits were paid in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, reaching over 6.6 billion zloty.

* "Family 500+" programme is a systemic support for Polish families. From 1 July 2019, all children up to the age of 18 are entitled to the benefit regardless of income received by the family:

- the programme offers support for every family, also for single-parents
- the funds are paid out regularly, every month until the child completes 18 years of age.
