Compounding amount from challans issued by Delhi traffic police 1991-2022
In 2022, the total compounding amount through challans issued by the Delhi traffic police in India was over 26 million Indian rupees. That year, the traffic police issued over 1.4 million challans for traffic violations across the capital city. The same year, the number of fatalities due to road accidents across the capital city was over one thousand. Pedestrian casualties constituted a major share in the road accidents at about 43 percent.
