In the United States, the average value of enterprise value to earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EV/EBITDA) in the finance, insurance and real estate sector as of 2023 was a multiple of approximately 13x. Companies operating in the real estate investment trust (R.E.I.T.) industry saw the highest valuation multiple with EV/EBITDA valued at 19.8x in 2023, much lower than the 26.8x recorded for 2022.
