Opinions on using genetic modification to extend product shelf life Netherlands 2019
This statistic displays the results of a survey concerning opinions on using genetic modification to extend the shelf life of food products in the Netherlands in 2019. The survey results show that as of 2019, the majority of survey respondents were opposed to using GM to tackle food waste by extending the shelf life of products. Close to 56 percent of respondents indicated that they thought this was an unacceptable method, while roughly 15 percent of respondents were in favor of genetically modifying products.
