South & Central America: leading source countries for cruise tourism 2019
In 2019, around 567 cruise passengers started their trip in Brazil, nearly four times more than the number of travelers originating in Argentina. These two countries ranked as the leading South and Central American source markets for this type of tourism. That same year, South America accounted for two percent of the global cruise line deployment.
