The displayed data on sustainable travel shows results of the Statista Global Consumer Survey conducted in the United States in February 2022. Approximately a quarter of consumers in the country said they had paid extra for sustainable travel (e.g. carbon neutral surcharge) in the past two years. During the same survey, nearly 40 percent of U.S. consumers said they were willing to pay extra for a sustainable travel provider.
