Level of trust in major U.S. institutions 2022, by institution and political party
During a survey conducted in 2022, only one in four Republican voters stated that they trust the Government, compared to over 60 percent of Democrat voters. The numbers were similar for the media. In total, just above 40 percent of U.S. citizens had trust in their Government that year.
