Sodium carbonate production in the U.S. 2010-2023
In 2023, the United States produced an estimated 11 million metric tons of natural soda ash – also known as sodium carbonate. Over the last decade, soda ash production in the North American country reached a high of 12 million metric tons in 2017. Despite having experienced a decline in recent years, the United States – together with Turkey – is the world's largest producer of natural soda ash.
