U.S. nonfinancial corporate sector output - quarterly percent change 2017-2020
In the United States, the nonfinancial corporate sector output decreased by 39.4 percent in the second quarter of 2020. The data are seasonally adjusted at annual rates. Output is a chain-type, current-weighted index constructed after excluding from the gross domestic product (GDP) the following outputs: general government, nonprofit institutions, and private households (including owner-occupied housing). Corresponding exclusions also are made in labor inputs. Business output, including the nonfinancial corporate sector, accounted for about 78 percent of the value of the GDP in 2019.
